In French

The logical successor to our study of 50- and 64-gun ships, this volume is devoted to ships of superior strength, including three-deckers. Three chapters of an historical nature are followed by a fourth chapter of general facts. The development of naval décor, a new subject in the period, is the focus of the fifth chapter.
The final chapter presents many different examples of ship's models. A glance at the table of contents and the lists of plans, engravings, diagrams, and graphics will introduce the prospective reader to this rich and fact-filled volume.
